ABOUT THE PRACTICE
Dr. Heidi Freeman has been practicing in San Luis Obispo since
2004, providing a comprehensive range of obstetric and
gynecologic services and surgeries.
She is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of
Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of
Obstetricians and Gynecologists
Amanda Weir, Family Nurse Practitioner, has joined the practice.
She earned two undergraduate degrees in Nutritional Science and
Nursing from Cal Poly SLO and Mount St Mary's College Los
Angeles, respectively. While working at Hoag Memorial in Orange
County she started her master’s degree and nurse practitioner
program at Long Beach State University and graduated with honors.
Her internships included family practice, woman's health, internal
medicine, geriatrics, and pediatrics.
When Amanda relocated to the Central Coast she joined the
emergency room staff at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center. She
was actively involved with the care of a wide range of medical
emergencies from gynecological complications to cardiac arrest.
After working as a nurse practitioner for a well known cardiologist
she moved into women's health and family practice. Her desire to
practice exclusively in women's health has brought her to our
practice where her vast knowledge and unique ability to connect
with patients will complement our professional practice. We
welcome Amanda and look forward to continued success.
Cynthia Scott, R.N.P.
Cynthia Scott has over 30 years of experience in medicine with
more than twenty years in Labor and Delivery and fourteen years
experience in women’s health. She received her Nurse
Practitioner's certificate from San Jose State and has since worked
in the Labor and Delivery departments of hospitals, in private
physician’s offices, with HMOs and in clinics. Cindy’s extensive
knowledge of women’s health, along with her nurturing demeanor,
make her an outstanding health care provider. In her spare time
Cindy likes to read, knit, garden and do family history research.
